asian rhinoplasty

Postby askquestions » Mon Sep 15, 2008 6:20 pm

hi, dr lam
i am interested in a nose job, i am happy with the bridge of my nose but i feel the tip of my nose is bulbous from the frontal view, can we do a nose job just to reduce the bulbous tip? do i need to wear the splint afterwards? how much does it cost? i read from other post about taking down tissue followed with taping of nose 3 months? can you explain more? can this alone be a procedure or is it sth supplemental?
thank you

usually, i augment the bridge a little. oftentimes, without a little bridge support, the tip still looks big. i have attached an example of 95% of bridge raising with little done to the tip. as you can see the tip looks smaller because the bridge is higher. this is called balance and proportion. the cost is the same about 7500 give or take a couple of hundred including anesthesia/facility charges. you still need taping for the week after but if there is no implant i don't necessarily need a splint. the taping for a couple of months at night is still a good idea because i want the skin to sit down on the cartilage. you can watch my new video on the subject i just posted on saturday for more info on nasal taping:
