Hi Dr. Lam. I understand that Allergan test each botox batch on live rats and mice. Do they test on cats and dogs as well? I sent them an email asking and received a canned reply and no follow up -- they seem very cagey about it. As a botox expert, do you know the answer to this question? And if they do indeed test botox on live cats and dogs would you be disgusted, alert the public and stop using it?

I have no idea what Allergan does as far as animal testing is concerned. I am opposed to animal cruelty and unnecessary animal testing. Beyond that I will refrain from making political commentary in this forum. (This forum is not intended to express your or my political or religious beliefs, which are dangerous turfs to explore herein.) I appreciate your concern however, and thank you for the question.
