Can we remove Botox?

Postby amara » Mon Aug 25, 2008 8:49 am

Hi Dr.Lam..
This is samar..31years old..I had a botox 2weeks ago for my forehead and around my eyes and to my smiling lines..I am not happy at all of my results..because i am still on headache..and I feel that I am really tight ..I cant smile properly..the Botox didn't give me the natural look...I am really disappointed..
Is there any way out ..I mean can we remove the effects of the botox?Or there is any other solutions? and how long do I need to wait to get back to my normal face?
How can I send my pictures..for consultant please..

just wait patiently. it will go away. you need to go back to your doctor to see it so he can help. if i did, please come in so that i can see it and try to fix it. there is no way to remove it. there is a good saying, if you like your results, too bad it will go away. if you hate your results, don't worry it will go away. if you had it done by another M.D., i cannot look at your photos and comment on them. that is wrong. you need to ask your physician who did it to look at you. if i did it, i still would prefer to look at you in person so that i can make sure it looks good and can remedy it.
best,

Thanks a lot doctor for your reply..I really appreciated..well I did my botox with another M.D..I just wanted to send my photo before the botox..to advice me what to do after my botox goes..more botox or fat filling around my eyes..because I have black circles and wrinkles..this area in my opinion is the most important to take care of it because it shows the aging signs even if you are young..

well, in order to understand how to manage each problem, you have to understand what each technology provides:
1. botox manages dynamic wrinkles which over long term improves static wrinkles
2. lasers, plasma, and peels manage static wrinkles and texture.
3. dark circles if they are veins are hard to manage. dark circles if they are due to hollowness then fat works well.
best,

dynamic wrinkles are wrinkles that show up when you move your face. static wrinkles relate to the creases in your skin even when you don't move your face that develop after years of unmitigated dynamic wrinkles. please go back 2 weeks and read my blogs on botox. there are 3 of them. plus watch my video tutorial on botox. it is under my "virtual consultation" section. then go to my learning module under the "resources" tab on botox. get educated. i have all the resources available for you on this site to do so.

as far as veins are concerned, they tend to look like a stain on your skin. or you can see the actual veins. hollowness just looks like well, hollowness. the area is just sunken in without fat. that is what a personal consultation with me is for. remember: this forum is not for "medical advice" it is to give broad guidelines.
