Dear Doctor, a well known brand (RoC) is now selling the Protient Lift cream that contained DMAE with a different composition. It contains now a substance called tetrahydroxypropyl ethylenediamine. I had never heard of it and looked online. There is only one study I found, but done by researchers from the company that sells the line (Johnson&Johnson) so it could be biased...? The work was presented though in meetings or something, because there is a reference to it in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology http://www.aad.org/meetings/previous/_doc/Posters_2008%20Annual%20Meeting.pdf
What do you think? Is it scam? Can it eventually work as DMAE does?
