lips and fillers

Postby kco » Sat Aug 16, 2008 4:08 pm

Dr. Lam,
when you do a face with fillers , if the upper eyelids appear droopy, do you fill in the area between the eyelid and eyebrow?

Also, Lips, I had permanet filler inject about 6 years ago to the upper and lower lips. (I had this done in Mexico and do not recall the name). It has migrated to the outter sides of the lower lip, leaving lumps on each side. Also, after a facelift the lips appear larger and wider.( Is this possibly from the facelift). The upper lips are also uneven.
How would you repair these problems?

Thanks,
K

How would you repair these problems? MAN, THAT'S TOUGH. REMOVING PRODUCT FROM OUTSIDE THE WHITE LIP WILL LEAD TO SCARS. NOT EASY. THE ONLY THING TO DO IS JUST TO CUT OUT THE LUMP TO MAKE THE AREA FLAT REGARDLESS OF WHETHER THE MATERIAL IS EXTRACTED OR NOT. IF THE UPPER LIP IS NOT ONLY BUMPY BUT TOO BIG THEN IT CAN BE REDUCED. SEE MY LIP REDUCTION GALLERY. THE LIPS SHOULD NOT APPEAR WIDER AFTER A FACELIFT. IF IT DOES I HAVE NO IDEA HOW TO FIX THAT. SORRY.

Dr. Lam,

If the face is uneven due to facelift and the mouth is lower on one side and pulled down more on one side , is this repairable with fillers. Lifting the cheeks with fillers, would this help to restore balance?

fillers will help restore balance by filling not lifting. they will help the face look better if that is what you need. however, fixing a facelift result that has led to misshapen mouth corners most likely is unfixable. i would have to see you to determine that.
