technique

Postby Noelle » Mon Aug 11, 2008 9:47 am

Hi Dr. Lam,

When you inject a woman's lips with a needle, I am wondering what technique you like to use. I am just wondering about the top lip technique. I am interested in getting mine done by you and I want to know what you think first.

1. Do you ever inject the needle in the center and end of the top lip to create more pouty top lip. I read other posts and some concerns on that. The front or external lip has different texture then the internal lip that faces the top teeth (more gum like structure) would injecting that part of the lip tissue be okay. I saw someone do that on youtube. It sordive brings out that portion of the lip in someone. Do you ever do that technique and does that make sense.

2. Or do you stick with just outlining the top and bottom lip when injecting the juvederm? For example, when a woman applies lip liner, she outlines her lips before putting on lipstick.

Finally, Is there any technique that is used to inject the top lip that you DISAGREE on. In a sense, something that could create problems in the future. Hope all this makes sense and look forward to reading your thoughts.

THE TOP LIP IS WAY OVER PLAYED. EVERY WOMAN WANTS THIS DONE AND IN THE WRONG HANDS IT IS NOTHING SHORT OF A DISASTER. I AM MUCH MORE CONSERVATIVE WITH THE UPPER LIP. PLEASE READ MY LIP SECTION AND WATCH THE VIDEO WHEN I WAS ON GOOD MORNING TEXAS WHEN I DISCUSSED LIPS (IN PRESS VIDEOS) TO UNDERSTAND HOW I DO LIPS DIFFERENTLY, I.E., HOW I SHAPE LIPS RATHER THAN BLOW THEM UP. THAT MAKES NO SENSE TO ME ABOUT INJECTING THE WET LIP.

I AM NOT A BIG OUTLINER GUY. I LIKE SOFT POUTY LIPS NOT HARD-EGED ONES. I DEFINITELY DO NOT GO INTO THE WHITE LIP. THESE THINGS ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE. I WILL WORK WITH YOU ON SOFT LINING IF YOU WANT BUT I CREATE BEAUTIFUL LIPS AND I WANT YOU TO HAVE NICE LIPS NOT "OH MY GOD, WHERE DID SHE HAVE THOSE DONE" LIPS.

BASICALLY, THAT WOULD TAKE AN ENCYCLOPEDIA TO WRITE. HOWEVER, SUFFICE IT TO SAY, TOO BIG A TOP LIP THAT IS AMORPHOUS WITH NO SHAPE THAT IS NOT WELL DESIGNED AND OUT OF PROPORTION TO THE BOTTOM LIP. THE OTHER THING I DISAGREE WITH IS THE FOCUS ON THE TOP LIP. YOU WILL NOT UNDERSTAND THIS UNTIL YOU WATCH MY VIDEOS AND YOU STILL WONT UNDERSTAND THIS UNTIL YOU COME IN. MOST WOMEN ARE OBSESSED WITH FINE LINES, ASYMMETRY, AND TOP LIPS. I AM OBSESSED WITH THE BOTTOM LIP, SHAPE, AND PROPORTION. TRUST ME THESE ARE NOT THE SAME THINGS.
