Dr. Lam,
In one of the posts you mentioned that you have not had great success with the medical dermaroller. Was it the 1.5 mm or the 3mm length roller. What do you attribute for the lack of success? Did you have any success with certain types of scars. I have read that it is effective for the ice pick and scarred pores. Also what is your opinion about using stem cells for acne scars?

1. i think the dermaroller is an easy almost no downtime procedure that can't hurt. i just find it difficult to get great results. i have stopped using it so i can't recall what size i used.
2. i have done fat transfer into someone who needs fat transfer and have seen good results with acne scars. in fact, her photo is in my gallery. as you might know, fat transfer contains stem cells or at least that is what the thought is. however, stem cells from animals are not legal in the U.S. so i have no clinical experience with it.
