The CROSS method works with another acid?

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on managing, treating, and correcting acne scarring. (Of note, Dr. Lam is focused principally on acne scarring rather than on managing the ongoing condition of acne, which a dermatologist would be better equipped to address.)

The CROSS method works with another acid?

Postby Mysteryagain » Fri Aug 08, 2008 10:40 pm

Hi there :)

Just curious (no, I do not plan on using any acid on me *LOL*)... Does another acid, applied topically, like, say glycolic acid in a high concentration, applied in the manner TCA is applied (with toothpick, etc.)... help with collagen regeneration in some "visible" way? Or, given a pitted or depressed scar, no glycolic acid concentration can have that effect because it does not get to scar the scar, so to speak??
Hugs!
