How does Dr. Lams facelifts compare with Lifestyle Face lift and what is the difference in cost, procedure time, recovery time?

don't get me started on the lifestyle lift. i literally cannot publish here what i think and have seen with their results. my cost for a proper lower facelift is 9000 all included. i may be off by a few hundred dollars. in short, here is how my technique differs:
1. very short scar with no hair loss either in front or behind the ear.
2. proper anesthesia so that THERE IS NOT TORTURE PAIN DURING THE PROCEDURE.
3. vertical suspension lift so that nothing gets pulled back but simulates a lift upward the way gravity works.
4. no permanent deep sutures (which they might not use either) so that there are no long-term problems.
5. i hate to say it but this is the kicker: CARE AND PRIDE IN THE WORK. Please have a consult with them and have one with me. You will see the difference probably within 5 seconds of walking through the door. I will be with you every step of the way from beginning to the end. I also take pride in my work. This is not a factory. I take my time to do the job right. I don't rush through because I have 6 to do that day. I have only one. Yes, one. Also, a lift is only good for the lower face. How about the hollowing going on with the rest of the face. So many people that I see are overlifted too early for no reason. Even if you think you need a lift, I may tell you otherwise depending on what I see. In short, integrity. I do not sell you. I educate you. Again, if this subtlety escapes you, then do a consult with them and do one with me. If you can't tell the difference between them and me, then you need to pick them.

I truly believe that the market today has clearly bifurcated along Wal-Mart and Neiman-Marcus. There is nothing wrong with Wal-Mart. I shop there myself. But I am talking about your face! I offer very high quality customized surgery where I take my time to do the right thing and stand behind whatever you pay for. I am psychotically anal with my work and would be remiss to try to explain it all in a simple forum response. If you feel that I am beyond your reach, then I understand. There is nothing wrong with that. You can't beat Wal-Mart in prices. I don't intend to. It would take me an hour to tell you the differences, most of which I need to tell you offline. It would be unfair and improper to be derogatory to another outfit. As much as I have said that I do not want other people doing that to another doctor on here, I would like to speak to you in private about it.
best,
sml

Dr. Lam,

I met you last year for fillers around my eyes and mouth. I was instantly impressed with several things; 1. You consulted with me yourself 2. You meet with me at eactly the appointed time (never does that occur in any Dr.s office) 3. the time you took to educate me in your practice in all areas of reguvination of the face.

I take heed in everything that you have stated. I do feel the same about WM vs. NM and am sure they have filled the niche of having work done at a low price. Beware; we do get what we pay for.

Not being confortable with the market and how my income will suffer, I was tempted to 'save bucks' and take a chance with my face so I scheduled an appointment with them for next week. In a more sane moment, and because of some of the education I received from you last summer, I decided I should write and ask you about the Lifestyle Lift.

Your response re-defined what I already knew but oh so wanted to overlook in order to have a face lift now.

You might review the pictures of me in you files (I think I was there last August but could have been July) and see what you think. The fillers I had last summer were wonderful but unfortunately they only lasted about 6 months and that is too much for me to pay twice a year.

Thanks so much for your time. I still do not understand how you have time to do everything you have so successfully involved yourself.

Regards,
Char Phillips

simply put, this is not work for me but passion. honestly, i doubt all the fillers are gone. even my own staff said after 4 months, "oh the filers are gone." i looked at each one and i said, "are you literally out of your mind?" i took each before and after and they were totally blown out of their mind. they forgot where they started. i would be shocked silly if your fillers are gone. most likely they are about 50% gone at most which usually can be touched up with half the amount. obviously, no guarantees. most people do not need a facelift, they need volume balancing as you personally have experienced with me. i know my fat transfer is more expensive but my results are drop dead amazing. just save your money to do the right thing. o/w you will pay twice for me when i have to fix it. you should do 1 or 2 syringes of fillers to bide your time. i rarely do a 4 injection fill at a year. i usually can get by with 1 to 2 syringes, which is pretty darn cheap if you are thinking of a facelift even a "lifestyle lift".
