Hi Dr. Lam,

I just had my lips injected yesterday so parden me for asking you and not my own doctor as they are closed today. I have some bruising today and I was wondering if it is okay to wear lipstick with the bruises, or does that create irritation? Also, I only got a half a syringe in my lips total. My lips look good and full today it being the day after I got the treatment. Am I seeing the end result or just swelling at this point? Thanks so much

i have made it a rule not to answer a patient regarding immediate postoperative care when the procedure was performed by another physician. i think it is wrong to do so no matter how benign sounding the question is. i would not want one of my patients to ask another doc how to take care of a problem postoperatively when i should be the one answering that question. i apologize and sincerely hope that i have not been offensive.
