fillers

Postby kco » Tue Jul 15, 2008 7:53 am

Hi Dr. Lam,

I can not afford the fat grafting now. I have read and reaseached your fat grafting, this is definately something I would like to do in the future. However, this is not a financial option right now. Next year would be good!
You had mentioned fillers which I could afford. A few questions:
How much brusing should one expect with full facial fillers, cheeks , chin, under eyes, etc?
How long do the fillers last?
What fillers do you use for the whole face?
If I get the fillers , can I get fat grafting next year?
Can one fly in and out the same day?
How booked are you in August?
Can I pay the day of service?

Thanks, K

hello,
here are my responses:
I can not afford the fat grafting now. I have read and reaseached your fat grafting, this is definately something I would like to do in the future. However, this is not a financial option right now. Next year would be good!
OK
You had mentioned fillers which I could afford. A few questions:
How much brusing should one expect with full facial fillers, cheeks , chin, under eyes, etc?
TYPICALLY, VERY LITTLE. HOWEVER, IF YOU DO BRUISE AND YOU ARE HERE IN 4 TO 5 DAYS, I CAN LASER THE AREA IF IT IS OUTSIDE OF THE ORBITAL BONY RIM. BASICALLY, DON'T BOTHER. YOU PROBABLY WILL NOT BRUISE MUCH IN MOST CASES. CHECK OUT 8 CONSECUTIVE WOMEN I DID IN THE MORNING AND PHOTOGRAPHED AT NIGHT WHO LOOK A BIT PUFFY BUT NOT BAD. THEY CAN BE FOUND UNDER "EXTREME MAKEOVER DAY" UNDER "PRESS". IT WAS FOR A CHARITY.
How long do the fillers last?
TYPICALLY 6 MONTHS TO 12 MONTHS. MOST OF THE PERLANE HOLDS ABOUT A YEAR. THE RESTYLANE UNDER THE EYES CAN FADE ABOUT 50% AFTER 6 MONTHS THEN HOLD FOR A YEAR OR MORE. GENERALLY, I MAKE NO PROMISES THOUGH.
What fillers do you use for the whole face?
RESTYLANE FOR EYES, PERLANE FOR CHEEKS AND CHIN. GENERALLY 4 SYRINGES WILL DO IT FOR YOU MOST LIKELY. THE COST WOULD BE 2000 FOR THE WHOLE SHEBANG.
If I get the fillers , can I get fat grafting next year?
YES, EASILY SINCE THE PRODUCTS CAN BE DISSOLVED. HOWEVER, I DO LIKE TRYING TO DISSOLVE IT A WEEK BEFORE THEN A FEW DAYS BEFORE. I WON'T CHARGE YOU FOR THAT IF YOU PROCEED WITH FT.
Can one fly in and out the same day?
YES. EASILY.
How booked are you in August?
I AM BOOKED UNTIL MID TO LATE SEPTEMBER RIGHT NOW, BUT YOU SHOULD CALL TOMORROW MORNING AFTER 9 AM AND EITHER PUT YOURSELF ON THE WAITING LIST OR JUST TRY YOUR LUCK IN GETTING SOME SPOT. THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT I CAN MORE EASILY SQUEEZE A FILLER IN BUT AM HAVING A HARD TIME SQUEEZING A FAT TRANSFER.
Can I pay the day of service?
FOR NON-SURGICAL PROCEDURES LIKE FILLERS, YES.

Awesome! Thanks Dr. Lam.
By the way, I just watched your video lecture on facial fillers. I should have watched it before I posted my questions !
My son is getting married Sept. 13th. (Sound familiar, LOL). I will call and see if the girls can squeeze me in........someway.

I am excited! Can't wait to see willow bend and meet everyone. Not to mention get my face filled :).

Hi Dr. Lam,

Well, I called your office today and spoke to Marcy. She was wonderfully sweet, pleasant to speak to! AND, I didn't have to beg to much, just a tiny beg and she fit me in to your schedule due to a cancellation. Yippy, see you in August!
