Question about botox

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on various surgical techniques for facial rejuvenation, including fat transfer/fat grafting, browlift, blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), facelift, etc. Also, this category includes questions on hand rejuvenation via fat grafting. (Of note, Dr. Lam does not perform body rejuvenation except for hand fat grafting)

Question about botox

Postby TammyHuynh » Tue Jul 01, 2008 11:05 pm

Dr Lam! I would like to ask how much will it cost if i want some botox injection around my eyes, Actually i have wrinkle under my eyelids when i put on my make up the wrinkle really show! can you smooth out the wrinkle under my eyelid? and can you make it last longer than 3 month? may be permanent if you could? if not how much for touch up?
And i live out of town, do you accept out of town patient?
and dr Lam what nationality are you? I hope you are vietnamese so i can talk and explain how i want with you at the consultation in the future :)! i can speak and understand English well, but not too well but if you are vietnamese and can speak vietnamese i prefer vietnamese because I am more comfident in vietnamese! the reason i ask you if you are vietnamese or not is because your name is like Vietnamse Name( La^m)
Thank you dr Lam for taking time to read my message!

botox pricing varies and i usually do not like to post that info since competitors read this info. suffice it to say that i am very competitive but not the cheapest in town. the only difference is that i deliver a much better product and service.

botox around the eyes lasts the shortest amount of time like 3 months or slightly shorter. it is never permanent. the muscle directly under the eye which i refer to as the jelly roll can be easily injected in combination with the crow's feet. however, one: do not expect all wrinkles to disappear. two: the jelly roll area can affect tear drainage and cause dry eye or lower eyelid laxity and rounding of the eye in OLDER individuals especially if they have had their lower eyelids done before in which the tone is compromised or the lid is just weak from aging. in general it is safe to do there and there is no added expense. if you need more in less than the 2 to 3 month window, the touch up is free. however, i repeat: I WILL NOT GET RID OF ALL WRINKLES AROUND THE EYES. also, for those who wait too long and start to have wrinkles that descend halfway down their face, the wrinkles will only be partially improved so don't wait too long to start botox around the eyes especially if your crow's feet are beginning to extend outward.

i do accept out of town patients. in fact 10% of my botox flies in or drives from a very long distance for me to do it. i am Chinese so I don't speak any Vietnamese. Sorry. I know my name can pass for Vietnamese but I am not. Thank you for the question.
