Fat for chin area

Postby lola » Mon Jun 30, 2008 11:45 am

Hi Dr Lam,
I believe you answered this question already but I want to make sure I have realistic expectations -- the fat on and around by chin (in front of jowel, chin itself and area between lip and chin) was completely melted by a Thermage procedure -- the skin is now loose and uneven. I have two questions:
Will fat grafting replenish the fat that was lost ?
I also have dents will these need scar treatment or will fat make them go away?

thanks
lola

obviously, everything is a case by case basis. However, fat transfer works well to restore lost soft-tissue volume of the chin area. As far as dents are concerned, I would have to see them.
