fat grafting

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on various surgical techniques for facial rejuvenation, including fat transfer/fat grafting, browlift, blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), facelift, etc. Also, this category includes questions on hand rejuvenation via fat grafting. (Of note, Dr. Lam does not perform body rejuvenation except for hand fat grafting)

fat grafting

I have watched your videos and seen a few clips of you performing surgery and harvesting fat. I am very intersted in getting it done.

Just curious, what color is our fat (it looks yellow on the vidoes) and what is the texture like. I always pictured it looking like lard (clear and almost gel like)

it is yellow and soft like a liquid. it tastes bad though. (just kidding). some fat is harder. some fat is softer. ultimately, that won't make a difference in your result. i had one lady with the wateriest fat i have ever encountered, and i have followed her now over 2.5 years and it has held perfectly.
