The Anti-Aging and Vitality Center and my dear husband

Dear Dr. Lam,

Big moment this morning. G stepped on the scale and was happy with its number for the first time in months. You've seen G, he's a typical hard-working guy (demanding work), he turned 39 last week. For months he's been feeling "off", sluggish, despite plenty of rest, good diet, exercise. His weight was increasing for no discernable reason. This all was making him very grumpy, compounding the problem.

He saw Dr. H early last month, she did a comprehensive check-up, ordering various tests, blood-work. She discovered he had some endocrine, metabolic concerns. G and I doubt this would have been discovered by more traditional work-ups. He was given medication (spec. to his precise need) and supplements. Appr. 10 days later we are seeing observable/measurable difference. He feels great and his weight is no longer (mysteriously) climbing like compound interest.

THANKS DR. HO!! And thanks Dr. Lam for allowing me to use your board to convey the sentiments.

Dr. Lam, have a wonderful day and thank YOU for all you do.

I am so happy to hear that. I just read this article that said "wellness programs" are the absolute core of the future of american business, where things are headed now. however, most people simply don't get it yet until someone experiences the results. that is why wellness programs spread one person at a time until the revolution is fully upon us. we are 10 years ahead of the curve but the rest of the nation will catch up with us soon enough. i had this vision for wellness 7 years ago when the wellness revolution was in its infancy. it is slowly gaining traction. i am really happy for G. look at tim russert passing at the untimely age of 58. not to say that he could have had anything done to prevent it per se since he just had a clean check up by his doc. but now we have tools beyond the checkup. we can prevent and get better than "normal".

Improvement continues

It's nearly three weeks since G began taking the (custom) prescription and supplements he was given by Dr. Ho. (upstairs/Willowbend Wellness)

Frankly, it's shocking to me to see his recently added weight disappear. Recall it had been climbing, despite his genuine effort to control it. He was running every evening and cutting calories and getting nowhere.

He has NOT been running since going on this regimen, just hasn't made the time for it. Curiously, what had become a voracious appetite has gone away. He says he simply isn't feeling so compelled to "graze".

Repeating myself, G has always been a trim, healthy guy, seemingly without effort or intention. Overnight, this seemed to change and he had the dreaded handlebars, paunch, unusual appetite and malaise. (Not sure if the affect was caused by feeling his body was out of order....)

He seems back to "normal" now. Thursday he visits Dr. Ho again as she's working to learn what exactly caused all this.

With all respect and deference to traditional protocol, I suspect many other m.d.s would have simply and only placed him on cholesterol controlling meds.

It IS REVOLUTIONARY to NOT just wait to find yourself (or loved one) in dire straits.
