Upper Lip reduction surgery

Postby Mr Blog » Thu Jun 12, 2008 6:50 pm

I'm interested in a subtle upper lip reduction to restore balance.

My upper lip is 'fat' ie the same thickness accross the entire length of my upper lip. As a result i have an awful smile, due to the baulk in the upper lip.

My upper lip is also bigger than my bottom lip.

Also when i talk, my upper lip appears lopsided & 'slanted at an angle'. My upper lip also covers the upper teeth entirely!

It has affected my self confidence. From various 'experiments' - 'holding my lips in' in front of the mirror, I can see how a subtle small reduction would have a very positive impact on the overall harmony of the face!

I'm particularly interested in your technique of concentrating on the dry outer lip as oppossed to the traditional removal of skin from inside the lip; which some critics say is the reason for the post surgery complicatons with lip reduction.

I intend to fly over to Dallas as part of my vacation & hopefully undergo the procedure at your centre. Could you fill me in with everything i need to know - costs of consultaion, surgery cost, post surgery check up.

Should i also send you pics of my upper lip so you can determine the extent of the subtlety that might be apt.?

Like i said earlier i like full lips... just not this full!. I don't want Thin lips! Just a subtle reduction to improve the harmony of my face!

hi, i hope i can help.
1. please send a link in a PM to me of your lip photos. that would be the easiest. o/w you can send them to my drlam@lamfacialplastics.com account. i need to get a general feel if what you are asking is doable or not.
2. the cost is $2500 for everything for one lip. however, once i conclude you are a possible candidate, you need to schedule the procedure ASAP because i am booked out. you can email constanze@lamfacialplastics.com. 20% will also secure a date. the remainder is due 2 weeks prior to the procedure date.
3. i can do the consult and procedure on the same day. you can fly back out that night if you want.

Thanks for responding Dr Lam... and apologies for the delay with my response.

Unfortunately, i'm a complete novice when it comes to this internet business!

You talk about a 'link in a PM' - which has bamboozled me(literally!)

I have taken a fair number of pics on my digital camera (from every possible angle - at 'rest'. smiling, 'open mouthed' etc) providing a comprehensive & demonstrable illustration of my problem.

The problem is... how to send it to you!

I know i possibly come across as a complete dolt; but how do i send it to your account... or failing that, provide a 'link'?!

Incidentally, i failed to mention this from the outset, but i am of African descent ( which should be obvious when you get the pics!)

I apologise in advance for still living in the dark ages!

no problem, mr. blog. funny you should mention it but i am migrating my entire forum over to the 3.0 platform in which you can easily upload photos to me in a private message (PM). please wait a few more days. my web guy has this almost ready. he is so fast that i am assuming it will be ready in 2 to 3 days (could be wrong). you will be able to tell because when you open this forum, everything will look different (a lot better in my opinion). can you tell my excitement?
best,
sml
