LAM FACIAL PLASTICS

Hello Dr. lam,

I heard that more and more medical physicians are performing plastic surgery. I also heard that anyone who possess a medical license can do Plastic surgery. They said more and more people are unhappy with the results of what they are getting from these people who also are not board certified PS's. Is this really true or is what I heard false. That scares me for the future when I want something done. I hope it is false.

To tell you the truth, even board certified PSs can create not so great results. I myself am board certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. All of my training has been in the face and neck. When you find someone to work on your face, you need not only to ask their board certification but also their experience and percentage of their clinical practice in the area that you desire. unfortunately, many PS's practice is 80 to 90% body work. Just ask.
