I have a plastic mask that I sell for $49.95 plus tax of her face! Just kidding. I really don't like making people look like celebrities. I preserve and enhance identity. When someone comes to me that is what they are looking for. Not everyone. The people who do not choose me either like the over-aggressive look that some people like with very high arched brows, overskeletonized cheeks, etc. Or, they want something radical to make them look totally different. Those ideas do not fall into my aesthetic principles and philosophy.

The reason that I do not perform these kinds of procedures is twofold: I am very passionate about the artistic element of my career and do not compromise. As an example, my sister is a designer and she has to please the client. I do not kowtow and bend over backwards to please someone. I do make some compromises but I want you to understand that I have the best intentions for you to look good. That means you trust my artistic judgment. The second more selfish reason for that is that I have a reputation out there and I do not want to tarnish it by doing something against what I stand for.

Beyond that, it is also very hard to change a person's entire facial structure into someone else's without major chiseling on bone, implants, and weird lifting and grafting procedures, which I do not do. Okay, sorry for the long answer. It was just a good forum for me to present my philosophy.

I totally agree Dr. Lam. When I went in to get perlane in my cheek bones, I brought in a old high school picture for the doctor to look at. She examined the picture of me at 17 when my face was at the all time high of youth and then observed my aged face and made me look like I did at 17 again. That is all I asked, to preserve my old identity again.

Perlane is an excellent mother product for the cheeks btw. I had the sister and brother restylane and juvederm before, but perlane is outstanding as most mothers are!!

Just curious, does perlane come in a smaller syringe then the juv and restylane?

perlane comes in the standard overfilled 1 cc (i.e. 1.1 cc) syringe that restylane comes in. all juvederms are filled to 0.8 cc.
