Any more contests?

Many people have written random thoughts in the "Tell Me About Your Passions" section. Dr. Lam wants to keep that section reserved only for sharing your passions in life. If you have random thoughts about your life or about anything and want to share it with our community, put it here. Have fun!

not right now. most of the entries did not capture my imagination. i had to read through hundreds of posts that basically said, "Hey Dr. Lam, why don't you advertise on the radio?" "Have you thought about giving a free makeover to me because I deserve it?" Obviously, most people really did not expend the energy to think of something creative, forceful, original, thorough. The winner, Jeff G. from Chicago, blew me away. It was worth slogging through hundreds and hundreds of entries. Right now, I am going to take a little break. in the meantime, if you have something BRILLIANT, let me know. i'll give you at least credit for the idea on the site. that may not worth money but i would be honored to receive it. i have given myself hundreds of ideas to my colleagues over the years. i also enjoy sharing brilliant thoughts.
best,
sml

you could put on you website some kind of 3d face modeller which people could use to model their desires just in order to get an idea. I'm sure that would attract a lot a people

interesting. i have had this idea submitted to me before during the contest. but who is going to run it? are you going to see other people's morphed images? of course, privacy is a big deal. if not, am i going to have to review all these morphed images? legally, i am scared to use morphed images. i never save a morphed image for a patient because it offers them an implicit guarantee. i only morph in the office profile views of noses and chins. beyond that, i think even when i morph the image I can lead to false expectations, poor communication, and frankly scare someone. If I let someone else do it as a free for all, then I would truly be worried. Plus, then I have now doubled my work load because I now have to review other people's morphed images and tell them why I would not do that. Anyway, very interesting idea. I just know it won't work on this site for the above reasons. Thanks for the thought though.
