LAM FACIAL PLASTICS

Hi Dr. Lam--it was such a pleasure to meet you. I consulted with Dr. Lam for fat gratfing. A few years back my dermatologist recommended a radio frequency tratment for fine wrinkles under the eye (I never had an under eye problem previos to this treatment.) I was left with severe hollowing under the eyes and upper cheek area. Needless to say I was devastated. I waited a year and finally got up the nerve to see a prominent plastic surgeon in southern California. He injected restylane into my tear troughs to try to correct the hollowness. I was left with really bad bruising for 3 weeks and a worm like ridge formed under my left eye and it actually made the undereye area look even worse. I heard about Dr. Lam and flew in to visit him 2 weeks ago. Since I knew I would probably have to wait until next year to have fat grafting due to the time I would need to take off from work--I decided to have injectables done in the undereye area,cheeks and chin. First of all--I cannot say enough about how wonderful Dr. Lam and his staff are.They are so kind and pleasant and make you feel right at home. Dr.Lam is brilliant at what he does. As he numbed my face I felt absolutely NO pain. After the treatment there was a bit of swelling but absolutely NO bruising. I had the fillers on Wednesday and I was able to attend a wedding on Saturday. Nobody asked me if I had anything done--they just commented on how good I looked. That to me is the highest compliment tnat can be made--to look natural and not "worked on"--but to look better. I will definitely get fat done with Dr. Lam in the future. I also agree with you that Dr. lam is amazing. I have never seen him before for treatments, but I have seen the success from others and read their stories. I am considering him in the future. To be able to have that kind of talent to do such difficult tasks is a true gift from God.

Just to comment you, I also had the worm like ridge under my left eye after restylane was put in my tear trough. It looks awful on me. Did Dr. Lam do your anterior cheek or just your upper cheek below the rim of your TT. I feel I am in the same boat as you before you got treated by dr. lam. To know that you got fixed gives me hope because I have been feeling hopeless about my condition. Also, did dr. lam dissolve the restylane in your TT from your other doctor before he injected more.

One more thing I want to mention. I think I need my cheeks done so they have more volume. I had my Nasolabial folds filled about two months ago, will adding extra volume to my upper cheek make my nasolabial folds prominent again.

Thanks Wendy for the kind remarks. Let me answer Kendra's questions:
1. Fortunately, Wendy's previous work had dissolved to the point that I did not need to intervene in the least bit. However, I could have simply with Vitrase.
2. I used 4 syringes to make her look her best: 1 under the eyes, 1 across her anterior cheek, 1 into the buccal zone (where most of her aging was centered), 1 across her anterior chin with very little into her prejowls because her boniness aged her more than her jowls.
3. deepening the nasolabial groove with cheek fillers is possible and i have seen it occasionally but it is worth it. that being said, if you buy a minimum of 4 syringes with me and need a 5th into the NLF, I'll do it for free.
