I will never get restylane under my eyes again

I will never get restylane under my eyes again

Postby junebug » Tue May 20, 2008 8:58 pm

Dr. Lam,

I am seriously coming out to see you someday because I had restylane in my tear troughs and I look like a nightmare. I saw a doctor MD, who injected my tear trough along the rim and now I have the worst lumps ever. It also looks like big bags under my eyes. I did this to look less tired and now I look more tired then I started. I look unhealthy and their is no life to my face anymore. My doctor does not have any vitrase which puts me in distress. He can not help me. In the future, I will ONLY get restylane in my cheeks and I don't care how hollow my eyes look. I think the cheeks is the most important anyway. I wish you would move to California because I know so many people would come to see you here.

hi,
i am so sorry to hear of all these terrible terrible results that people are getting, and NO VITRASE TO MANAGE THE PROBLEM???? i wish i could live in multiple cities but i can't. that is why now 40 to 50% of my patients fly in for my work even for botox and restylane (believe it or not!). today both of my patients came in for surgery from overseas. fortunately, people are willing to fly here for my surgery and fillers.
wishing you the best,
sml

Hi Dr. Lam,

When you inject restylane under the eyes (tear trough), do you start at the inner eyelid and go all the way to the outer eyelid or do you stop midway with the injection. I ask because my injector started at the inner eyelid and stopped midway and did not preceed to the outer eyelid (at the end of the eye) What resulted is a dip look or a decline of volume if you will.

i would think there would be equal balance from inner eye to outer eye, do you agree?

yes, i go further. unfortunately, the cannula goes about 85% of the way to the outer portion. there can still be a slight dip. at that point, i use a small needle to improve the transition if need be.
