Hi Dr. Lam,

I was just curios to hear your opinion on Punch Grafts?

I went to a skin center out here where I live, and the Dr. mentioned that
punch grafts would help raise my scarring.

Do you feel punch grafts work on Acne Scars? Are they only good for ice pick, or can they work on rolling scars as well?

I was also wondering if we could send you pictures of the scarring to get your opinion on the type of method you might use to correct it. I can't really stop in the office since I'm out in California.

I don't believe in punch grafting. I think they fail in most cases and in some cases can actually worsen things. However, if your doc can show you photos of his wokr then you can believe what you like. You can send me a PM with links to your photos.
