This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on managing, treating, and correcting acne scarring. (Of note, Dr. Lam is focused principally on acne scarring rather than on managing the ongoing condition of acne, which a dermatologist would be better equipped to address.)

Dr. Lam,
Thank you for answering my previous post. I had a new question regarding 100% TCA. IF you apply 3 layers of 30% TCA is that almost the equivalent of a single application of 100% TCA? Also what depths does a 100% TCA reach?

no, i do not think so because I used to do 3 passes of 35% TCA for skin peels when I did more TCA full face peels. If it were equivalent to a 100% TCA, the person would have had terrible scarring. The two are not comparable. only go to someone with extensive experience with 100% TCA. it is truly truly truly a WMD.
