jaw line reduction

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on various surgical techniques for facial rejuvenation, including fat transfer/fat grafting, browlift, blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), facelift, etc. Also, this category includes questions on hand rejuvenation via fat grafting. (Of note, Dr. Lam does not perform body rejuvenation except for hand fat grafting)

jaw line reduction

Postby askquestions » Mon May 12, 2008 6:58 pm

Hi, Dr Lam,
I am interested in having the botox injections for reduction of jawline and was wondering if one can be too young for botox? Once the botox wears out, and with no further injections, will the jawline widen more and worse than baseline? Does the cost depend on the dose of botox?
Thanks!!

hmm, about age, i have never thought about that. obviously, if you are under 18, you will need to have a parent sign for you; and we need a more detailed consultation. however, above that age, i don't see a problem. and, no, it will not make the muscle bigger when you stop doing it. the cost is not dependent on dose because i use a standard dose based on a korean study looking at optimal dosing on longevity and efficacy.
best,
sml

Thank you Dr Lam, I saw in other posts that it costs $800 for the botox injections, does it include everything? If not, what other charges should be expected? Thanks again!
