I love, love, love Coldplay! Their new album is fantastic! I think Viva La Vida is one of my favorite all time songs, ever! I also really like some of the artists you mentioned (Nelly Furtado, The Killers, Justin Timberlake, Joss Stone, Sarah McLachaln and Shania, even if she's not cool!) :-) I tend to get really into one band/artists for a few months. Right now I'm into Maroon 5 - their new album is great and I also love their first album (Songs About Jane). I love finding new music. I am going to check out that Scottish band you mentioned (Texas) for sure. My iPod is nowhere close to full so I've gotta get more songs! One of my favorite new artists is Sara Bareilles. Her voice is deep and beautiful. A couple of months ago some friends and I went to see a girl named Emily Elbert live and she was amazing. She's only 19 but plays the guitar and sings like she has been doing it for 40 years. She is talented beyond belief! (I think she's from Texas, too).

Thanks for letting us share here. It's great to have a place like this.

I typed this once already and lost is somehow so I'm gonna post this before I mess it up again! :-)

Be Well,
Tracy

Let's keep on seeing how many more likes and hobbies and passions we share!!
From the above list, I also like:

Coldplay, Keane, U2, Migs, Moby, La Oreja de Van Gogh (awesome Spanish pop from Spain) (love it too!!!), Shakira (before the hips don't lie and the English crap. I'm talking first two albums in Spanish.) -> ditto!, Carla Bruni, Dido, Jack Johnson, Janet Jackson (ol' school version), Nelly Furtado , Joss Stone (first album) -> ditto, Sade, the Beatles, Bruce "the Boss" Springsteen, James Blunt (but sort of sick of his music now) -> ditto LOL, Lenny Kravitz, Peter Gabriel.

Oh, I took your advice and checked out the band "Texas" and downloaded some of their songs from iTunes. I like their sound! And I had no idea they'd been around for a while. I thought I had heard of pretty much everyone! (j/k) :) Thanks!

If you like checking out new music, you might want to check out Natasha Bedingfield. She has an amazing voice! Very soulful. (And my husband says she's hot, too!) My favorite song is "Say It Again" - here is the video:

I also like her song called I Wanna Have Your Babies" - the video cracks me up!

I have her stuff, and I agree with your husband. I pick and chose some of her big hits off iTunes. It is now such a disease that I don't have to buy the whole album. That's not always good. Sometimes it is better to force you to buy it then you discover how good the whole thing is after listening to it for a while. Okay, I really really love Esmee Denters like totally (I sound like a Valley Girl now). She is also quite attractive (don't show your husband). Her version of the Justin Timberlake's song "What comes around Goes Around" is da bomb. I already love the Timberlake version but this one is so hot!!!. Here's the link:

Watch for the surprise guest visit at the end. Also, watch the Bedingfield cover she does (with also a little surprise):

Good but not as great as the Timberlake cover. I like her too because she was discovered on YouTube, and I feel as if I was also "discovered" on YouTube!
best,
sml

Wow, Esmee is wonderful! (Love how she gets these stars to appear with her, too). She has a bright future ahead!

Glad you liked it. I like this music exchange. Have you heard Motorcycle's As the Rush Comes? That is cool sounding. Check out the slower version on iTunes (Gabriel and Dresden Chillout Mix). Nice tunage!

I've never heard of them, but will be sure to check them out. Hey, I predict that in the future, patients will be able to upload their favorite playlist to the surgery area so they can listen to their favorite tunes during. Although, I would MUCH rather the doctor working on me be listening to whatever he/she liked! (I want the person with the knife to be the happiest!)

There is nothing in the world I'm more passionate about than my children. They are everything to me. I feel sure that I was put on this earth to be a mother and it's the most rewarding (and toughest) job that I've ever had! Here is a recent photo of them at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando.

Sorry it's so huge - I was using iPhoto and trying to save it as a smaller size with no luck. I finally gave up!
