Hi Dr Lam,

I want to get rhinoplasty done on my nose. But a bigger issue for me is the acne scarring on my nose. I was wondering if rhinoplasty might help with this because when I stretch my skin on my nose the scar disappears.

There is a lot of rolling scars and ice pick scars on my nose. The scars are very noticeable. I have tried different treatments on my nose with no success, such as jessner peel, TCA cross, fraxel, and total fx.. although I wanted to try subcision but the doctor was against it.

I am Asian decent and I know your an expert in this area. I'm hoping your expertise might help me diagnose my situation.

unfortunately, rhinoplasty will do NOTHING. you really need further skin treatments. i would have to see you to make a decision whether CROSS treatments would be better or silicone micro droplets.

Thanks a lot Dr. Lam. Silicone micro droplets is something I haven't tried. I will look more into it.

no problem. in general to be honest with you, silicone is not great for nose acne. it is good for face acne.
