This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on various surgical techniques for facial rejuvenation, including fat transfer/fat grafting, browlift, blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), facelift, etc. Also, this category includes questions on hand rejuvenation via fat grafting. (Of note, Dr. Lam does not perform body rejuvenation except for hand fat grafting)
Hi Dr Lam, I read that you place fat in each layer of the skin and your explanation was very straight forward. I do have a question however about the mucle -- do you place Fat below the musle as well as the layer of skin ?
No, I do not do FAMI. I do not believe that FAMI holds well in most cases. (Fat Auto Muscle Injection). In fact, I saw a very experienced FAMI injector do a face that simply did not hold well until it was redone my way. I am not condemning a technique but for you to understand that I truly think it is not as effective a technique. I do not try to put fat in muscle.
