Hi

I was wondering if you perform computer imaging before surgery and what your thoughts are about this kind of technology? Is it a realistic way of previewing the surgical result?

Morphing

Morphing refers to changing shape and is an abbreviated way of talking about digital photographic programs that permit projected images of a proposed change in facial shape to facilitate communication with a prospective patient so that person can see how the surgeon would like to make a certain change in facial feature. Dr. Lam uses his morphing program exclusively to show proposed changes in nasal profile and chin and neck profiles. He believes that other morphing techniques can be misleading and not instructive to his prospective patients.
