This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on managing, treating, and correcting acne scarring. (Of note, Dr. Lam is focused principally on acne scarring rather than on managing the ongoing condition of acne, which a dermatologist would be better equipped to address.)
Dr Lam, I was wondering whether you had heard about or had any experience with the new fractional Co2 laser such as the fraxel RE: pair.? I was wondering if you believe that this would produce results that are superior to the older erbium fraxel? I have had a series of 6 fraxel treatments with little improvement for acne scarring and am now contemplating the Co2 fraxel. (with the possibility of Silicone Micro afterward if needed) Thank you for your time.
I too have been disappointed with fraxel for acne scarring. I was actually wondering the same thing with the CO2 fraxel. I had a patient ask me that a couple of weeks ago after fat transfer, and I told him that I don't know yet but was wondering about it. If any forum members have any good comments, I welcome them.
thanks,
sml
