This section is dedicated to questions that don’t easily fit into any other category but that concern facial plastic surgery. For hair restoration, see Dr. Lam’s Hair Transplant Forum. http://www.drsamlamhairforum.com/
I'm sorry to hear of your problem. I know that obesity is a real problem that not only affects one's appearance but long-term health. That is why even though I do not do any obesity surgery, I have put my building together to help people in need, e.g., nutritional counseling, hormone balancing, supplements, micro-iv nutrient therapy, Accent XL for mild fat excess, liposelection and smart lipo (again for mild degrees of being overweight), and one of the most important tools, lap band. Besides counseling from your physician which you should seek immediately. You may need the lap band procedure (ivital.com) to help you with your problem. Remember, it is not just the upfront lap band but careful and attentive post care that makes the lap band successful. Oftentimes, the lap band fails for two reasons: a patient's weak desire to lose the weight and poor after care by the team of physicians.
Btw, the lap band procedure is totally different from gastric bypass, which involves removing parts of the stomach and intestines through a large incision and that requires a prolonged hospital stay. The lap band procedure is a short day surgery procedure with small incisions to place a plastic band around the upper stomach and lower esophagus (food tube) to reduce the desire to eat. It is adjustable in the office and removable as well. I do not know if that is what you need, as I am not here to dispense medical advice but only offer parameters and information that you might find useful.
I truly hope that someone can help you in New York.
best,
sml
