Willowbend Wellness Center

Hi Dr. Lam

I watched your V-Logs on the new center with interest and had a few follow-up questions.

1. Is it possible to get diagnosed in one visit and then given a complete recommendation list for products and supplements? What is the approximate cost of the diagnosis? I'm sure the answer to this is useful for out-of-town visitors.

2. Does the center ever prescribe hormone therapy such as HGH injections or testosterone treatment?

3. Some say HGH improves skin skin tone and reduces wrinkles , others say it only increases the percentage of lean body mass, and some say it delivers absolutely no benefits. What is your own experience, observations, and opinion on the benefits and risks of hormone treatments?

Thanks
Rock

Hi Rock,
Yes, you can have a complete evaluation with one visit and have all subsequent visits performed without your being here. I believe the cost is around $500 for initial visit and they can even help you submit your claim to the insurance company (in other words, you would file it yourself) to help with the reimbursement. Surprisingly, a lot of insurances completely cover the visit. Supplements, lab tests, etc. are extra (and in addition to the initial fee).

As far as HGH, my center does not believe in using it. That is not to say that it is bad but there are ways to stimulate your own endogenous HGH without external supplementation. We do however believe in testosterone replacement based on laboratory evaluations and detailed examination.

Beyond these words, I will leave comments up to my experienced team of physicians to comment, as I am but a simple surgeon.

best,
sml
