silcone micro cont...

Postby nick21 » Sat Oct 27, 2007 2:32 am

Dr Lam,

Thank you for your help. I was just wondering whether or not your before and afters for silicone injections where taken after a full round of treatment or if they reflect only a single treatment as was stated on the page a while ago?. The other thing is that i am in australia and obviously it isnt feesible for me to travel over to the states for silicone micro. I have however found s practitioner over here who is looking into doing silicone micro. She worked in new york and was trained in the technique by Dr Orentreich although i am still a bit worried about going ahead with the treatments. My question is, how important is it to find a great injector? And in your opinion do you think it is worth the risk.

Hi,
1. Most of the images reflect between 2 to 5 treatments. On average 3 treatments. I removed that 1 silicone injection remark because it applied to one of the images but then I realized I had been adding additional images above it and that remark did not reflect the current image that followed the remark. Hope that makes sense.
2. If your injector trained with Dr. Orentreich's technique, that is a very good sign. Although I cannot endorse any injector without having seen his or her work (that only makes sense), I think it is great to hear at least your physician is following the microdroplet, conservative treatments that I follow in getting great results.

That being said, I totally understand your dilemma in flying this far away for multiple sessions. I wish you all the best in your treatments with your physician if you decide to go that route.

Best,
SML
