Has anybody died due to otoplasty?

Postby belonni » Thu Jan 31, 2013 8:02 pm

Hello Dr Sam Lam

i was wondering if anybody died due to otoplasty?
i was searching about plastic surgery death rates and i didn't see any death from otoplasty,
does this mean that the death from otoplasty is zero.

Thank You

obviously, anything is possible with any procedure but it is beyond highly unlikely with otoplasty since it is a short procedure under very light conscious sedation in which the body does not go through fluid shifts and electrolyte problems like in body liposuction or body work, which is where anesthesia risks increase.
