Dr. Lam,
This is not my first post and you have replied to all my previous queries. You have no idea how thankful we are to you for taking out your time just to reply to our queries and that too with the best of intentions even though sometimes the answer is not what people like me with severe acne scars are hoping to hear.
I understand the techniques you use to treat acne scars and your philosophy behind them. Unfortunately i am not in the US and will not be able to travel there in the near future. I am although going to the UK for a personal trip and have contacted a few surgeons who use ReCell ( http://www.avitamedical.com/index.php?ob=1&id=15 ) with an invasive procedure like fraxel repair or dermabrasion to improve scarring. I am really impressed with ReCell when its combined with an ablative treatment.
Both fraxel repair and Dermabrasion side effects and effectiveness have been documented, although ReCell is suppose to minimize the side effects caused by them and improve the results.
Coming to my question, in terms of effectiveness ( i know you prefer other tecniques), what do you think is gonna help me most in my case (pictures attached), Dermabrasion or Fraxel Repair. I am particularly afraid of dermabrasion because of well documented side effects on patients with darker skin.
Regards,
Maash
