First I'd like to thank you because your forum is a great source of information and knowledge.
Here my problem. I have a mole on the right side of the nose just above my nostril that I'd like to remove.
I consulted a platician a year ago who said that technically it would be very hard to remove it because if he does a fusiform opening when he'll close the borders, my nostril will probably go a little bit up as the skin is not really flexible at this location. So for him no way (2 minutes consultation, 50 euros, good bye
Last week I had a consultation at my new derm's office who is also specialized in surgery. He told
me he can do it using one of two methods. Either a full excision and he said he can perform a fusiform opening that follow the line of the nostril, it will left a tiny line scar in the same line of my nostril. Or a shave excision. According to him second method is the best since it will leave a hardly noticable scar and it does not require any stiches. The minus is there is a 50% chance that the mole come back over the years... but we can do it again and again.
So my question is what is your opinion about a full excision ? Is it possible using a traditionnal method (fusiform excision) ?
Thank you for your answer and all my best wishes.
PS : sorry for my poor english I live in France
