Hello Dr. Lam,

I have been getting fillers in the cheek area for several years. (Radiesse and Juvederm) I really like the results right after, but it doesn't last for me. I usually get about 4-6 months max and need a touch up. (sometimes the filler isn't symetrical especially when it starts going away, or even looks lumpy) It has become very costly. I am very interested in getting implants and I like the "apple look" submalar. Can I get that same look with implants? Also, the filler has been used to plump up depressed acne scarring. Would the implants give me the same effect?

What suggestions would you have and how often do you use implants in your practice?

if you are under 32, then an implant will probably give you a similar result because you have enough soft tissue to cover up the implant. that is not the case, as you get older. implants will not affect the scars one way or another. to understand this better, read this blog i wrote:
