lagopthalmos

Postby parissky » Wed Oct 24, 2012 3:54 pm

Hello,
I underwent revisional Asian double eyelid surgery and slight ptosis correction 6 weeks and 3 days ago. My eyes do not close completely and my blink seems like a slight flutter. I have dry eyes from this and my eyes are very watery and are painful. I have been putting drops and ointment in, but they seem to just fall out with the tears. My surgeon is very confident that my eyes will return back to normal in several months and that it is hardening from injury of tissues. Does this seem correct?

personally, i have not seen that but i do not do ptosis repair per se just asian eyelids. i would have to defer to your surgeon on this.

Hello,
Thank you for your response. How long does scar tissue generally harden for?

hard to say. depends on the scar and the person but typically for the first few weeks to months.
