Punch vs. full excision: Which is cosmetically better?

Postby SDDJ » Fri Aug 31, 2012 5:14 am

Hi Dr. Lam,

I have an oval-shape mole that is 3/16 inches long that is 0.5 inches away from the corner of my mouth. Between using a punch and a full excision, which method of mole removal produces better results cosmetically?

i would not use a punch. there is no reason for it since you need an ellipse shape not a circular punch to get the best healing.
