Old mole removal scar

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions addressing linear scars, depressed scars, keloid scars, hypertrophic scars, and other facial reconstructive topics. (Of note, Dr. Lam no longer accepts medical insurance so he rarely manages cancer reconstruction or trauma anymore.)

Old mole removal scar

Hi Dr. Lam,

I had a mole removed from my abdomen about 6 years ago, and the scar is still very noticable, including scars from the stitches. What would you recommend in this situation? I've included a photo below. Thanks for your help.

unfortunately, body moles typically do not heal that well, and i don't do them. accordingly, i simply cannot state whether a revision would make it better or worse. if that were on the face, would definitely recommend a revision procedure. sorry to disappoint but i simply do not work on the body.
