Cheek asymmetry... best course of action?

Postby nikkokim » Wed Jul 11, 2012 6:18 pm

It seems like one of my cheeks is larger or more convex than the other. It's affected my overall look for quite some time now. My cheeks were close to perfectly symmetrical when i was little all the way up to 9th grade, but then my face changed.

Looking at my anatomy book, it seems that one side of my orbicularis oris is slighly larger making one side of my jowl look bigger. One side is also more convex than the other making it seem larger.

Here are pictures to explain better (asymmetry is much more apparent in real life)

honestly, it does not look bad to me. i really believe that symmetry is way overrated when it comes to attractiveness despite what "scientists" say. also, i always say, "the two sides of the body are not the same and can never be made the same". if you understand that i will NOT make your face perfectly symmetrical and you should not die trying because it may make your cheeks too big and weird looking, then i would consider a temporary reversible long-lasting filler like Restylane or Juvederm. how long lasting? i have noticed after 1 to 3 rounds, the product can potentially last years.
best,
