Laser Tattoo Removal and Reconstruction

Postby jargenzi » Wed May 30, 2012 10:41 am

I had about 9 treatments on my arm with a Palomar Q-YAG laser. I have lots of freckles, so the downfall is now I have no pigmentation on that portion of my arm, which looks ridiculous.

I am looking into microdermabrasion to smooth the raised scarring. I also wonder if pseudo-skin grafting (i.e. take freckles from my upper thigh and somehow surgically overlap them on my arm?

I'm aware this may cause more scarring, but anything is better than this over-obvious patch of paleness on my upper arm!

microdermabrasion will do nothing to help. a skin graft would look dreadful and be quite dangerous. i would probably go in this sequence:
1. bleaching products to help even the tone out. not to tout my own horn but my product that i have worked on for 2 years, OVA, has the safest and most natural bleaching product that beats hydroquinone and you can start to see changes within days to weeks of using it. full effect would take a few months. you can get my products on ova-skin.com. truly it is the best course of action to start.
2. if this fails, i would then and only then go an an expert micro pigmentation artist who could tattoo the skin slightly to alleviate the loss of color.
3. the third option though instead of 2 is PUVA therapy which i think really does not work or last and carries with it slight risk of malignancy. i don't do it but that is another way to repigment skin.
best,
s.
