Volume loss from ultherapy (eyes)

Postby Monique in DC » Thu Apr 26, 2012 3:55 pm

Hi Dr Lam
I had a single Ultherapy session at the end of January hoping to minimize saggy upper eyelids. I did my research and had a good doctor and didn't see any evidence online or in literature that I could experience any fat loss. Fast forward to April and I suddenly am noticing a flattened eyebrow area as well as hollowed out temples and ocular area.

Although it sounds like fat transfer would be a more permanent solution, the satisfaction rates seem very low generally speaking and the risks and recovery time aren't realistic given that I have a sick family member.

My questions are 1) how long does volume loss generally continue (will I see more and more fat atrophy after these 3 months and 2) what would be the best temporary filler to help until I can consider something longer term? I like the idea of something reversible like Restylane or Juvaderm but don't know how well those work for temples, outer eye area and eyebrows where I had the treatment.
Thanks Dr Lam!

sorry about what has happened but i really don't have a good answer for you. it could be short term or long-term. yes, restylane or juvederm sounds like a great option. please find someone that does good work so that you don't have more problems.
