Puffy Eyes/Scar

Postby Teacher44 » Wed Apr 25, 2012 2:12 pm

Hello Dr. Lam

I recently relocated to Dallas from Washington DC, and while I was there I visited a couple of Dermatologists/Plastic Surgeons to address two issues: puffy bags around my eyes and a scar on the top part of my ear. I inquired about eyelid surgery for my eyes, and was told I did not qualify bc it wasn't severe. However, I am constantly told that I look like I am tired (when I am not) or that I am sad (when I am not). I was wondering if there is something (alternatively) you could recommend for my situations (i.e. there is not pronounced puffiness under my eyelids, but around my eyelids) if that makes sense. As for my ear, the scar gives it a pointy look, which has always made me self-conscious. I am an African American male who spends a lot of time interacting with others in my career, and would like to have these issues successfully addressed. I would really love to have insight from you or maybe even schedule a visit to your office.
Thanks in advance

if you are puffy under your eyes and it is either hollowness or an "eye bag", fillers under the eyes can be an easy beautiful fix and make you look a lot less tired. you can send me a photo for me to check out at drlam@lamfacialplastics.com. the scar i would have to see but if it is truly scar tissue you can maybe inject it with 5FU a scar dissolver or worst case undergo a scar revision.
