LAM FACIAL PLASTICS

I am posting a pic of a scar that continues to enlarge on my face. I'm very worried that it will continue to spread. I've been to 2 dermatologists so far. One said he wasn't even sure if it was a scar, but didn't know what it was. It started about 8 months ago and was about 1/10th the size when I first noticed it. It is depressed, with little nodules around the outside. It seems as though it has continued to grow and "sync" around my facial hair. The spread was very slow, so it's hard to tell if it is still occurring or not. I'm desperate to find out what this is, and if there is any way to stop it, and how to make it better. Have you seen this before? To my recollection, there was not even a pimple in that area, and definitely nothing near the size that this thing has grown to. I was previously using benzoyl peroxide, clindamycin, and taking minocycline. I have since stopped using the benzoyl peroxide (which I've used for about a year) as I think that may have been the original culprit. I'm in my 30s and have never had scarring of any sort before. So I'm basically asking 3 things:
1. what is it
2. how can I prevent it from getting worse
3. what options do I have to improve it's appearance

this is truly something a derm can only answer. i really have no idea.
