Shortened Canthal Bleph

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on various surgical techniques for facial rejuvenation, including fat transfer/fat grafting, browlift, blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), facelift, etc. Also, this category includes questions on hand rejuvenation via fat grafting. (Of note, Dr. Lam does not perform body rejuvenation except for hand fat grafting)

Shortened Canthal Bleph

Postby Tai-Dawn » Sun Feb 12, 2012 9:26 am

Hi Dr Lam,

I had an upper and lower bleph down 3wks ago.
I'm a little worried as to the appearance of my eye now.
Please excuse my way of describing this, but I will do my best.
It seems he shortened the canthal (or my outer upper and lower lids) very tightly together. Where I use to have very large round eyes, they now seem to be pulled tightly in an "Asian" style look. I only had this bleph due to bags under my eyes, so I believe it was fat and skin removal.
Because it is only 3wks post, will my eyes eventually settle back to their original shape? Will it always appear as an "Asian" style shape? I still have some lower lid swelling, on the outside corners of the eyes, internally. But my lashes even seemed to be "tucked in the outer corners".
I can post pictures if this is easier.
If this is the case, is it reversable?
I really appreciate any feedback possible.
kind regards.
Tai-Dawn

hi,
i do not touch the canthus because of this risk. hopefully, things should continue to settle down but because i do not do this kind of procedure i really cannot speak about it knowledgeably. you need to ask your surgeon.
