A Hollow Past

Postby HollowCheeks » Fri Feb 10, 2012 11:34 pm

Dr. Lam:

Ever since I shed my baby fat I've been plagued by hollow cheeks that don't match the rest of my body. As a kid I was sometimes teased for having a normal/chubby body paired with a gaunt face. My weight has fluctuated over the years, but my cheeks just range from somewhat hollow to quite hollow. Right now my weight falls in the middle of my average range. I'm only 28, but I'm so ready for a change. Two questions in particular come to mind:

Given that my face has never been full, is it possible to know where the fat is best placed to give a natural look?

Second, does my age preclude me from consideration for this procedure?

Thank you in advance for your time. Your website has served as a great resource for me, and I'm convinced of the importance of a great surgeon! :)

Given that my face has never been full, is it possible to know where the fat is best placed to give a natural look? yes, that is my specialty. it has to be evenly distributed in a balanced manner.

Second, does my age preclude me from consideration for this procedure? in a way, yes. i rarely like to fill a 28 year old due to risk of ongoing metabolic changes. in general, i prefer at least mid 30s with a relatively stable weight. i would probably do fillers for you instead.
