Restylane mess-what to do?

Postby Blondie » Sun Feb 05, 2012 11:35 am

Hi Dr Lam,
I went to a local PS here in Houston for restylane as I have an event Feb 10th. He did an ok job but left me looking too severe and needed to soften the angles. The right side is perfect-the left side is a blobby mess. He added too much and now it looks terrible. Would it be smart to dissolve at this point or wait? Today is 5 days away from my event. I have been massaging and taking arnica. I have a lump as well as too much resty that settled into the jowl area making me look like a chipmunk. Your comments are greatly appreciated

hard to say. you should ask your doctor. however, dissolving is not without risk. i only dissolve very carefully because you can over dissolve your own collagen and that can leave a hole for months. also, you also risk bruising in the area of dissolve. you need to speak with your provider of the plus and minuses of dissolve but those are some general principles. i cautiously dissolve with very little at a time and only things that really look bad.
