I had a lip reduction procedure done on 11/2/11 on both lips. I am a 27 old male.

I can see the change on the lower lip but i can't see the decrease in the upper lip. Although, i am still pretty swollen on the mustache area. I am almost 3 months into the proceduere and i am still swollen. Is this normal? The incisions were made inside the lip not on the wet/dry line.

Also I was wondering, will the swelling on the mustache area and lower lip area decreased with time?? Or will i did a touch up procedure?? How much should I wait until I could do the procedure with you (if needed)?

hi,
i cannot speak for someone else's technique since i do not know how that recovery would compare with mine. however, in general for my patients i would like a minimum of 6 months before considering removing any more tissue. you can always set up a consultation now and surgery to be performed 6 months after your initial surgery.
