Scalp Lipofilling

This section of the forum is dedicated to discussions on various surgical techniques for facial rejuvenation, including fat transfer/fat grafting, browlift, blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery), facelift, etc. Also, this category includes questions on hand rejuvenation via fat grafting. (Of note, Dr. Lam does not perform body rejuvenation except for hand fat grafting)

Scalp Lipofilling

Postby dancraig975 » Wed Dec 21, 2011 8:20 am

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum.

I was wondering if it is possible to apply the lipofilling tecnique to shape your head?
I am 30 years old, and losing my hair, due to an accident had a few years ago my skull present a small concave area that I qould like to fix before shaving completely due to my hair problem.

Would it be possible to do a lipofilling to shape it correctly?
Would the price be on average?
Would it be permanent?

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Many Thanks !!!

Daniel

not a good idea for a few reasons:
1. fat is imprecise to fill in defects precisely. fillers like permanent artefill would be better.
2. fat is a live graft that needs blood supply. if you gain or lose weight and you only fill one little area in it may not be even over time. i use fat to balance the entire face that makes my fat look good and provides overall balance to the face.
