Life after rhinoplasty

Postby Lam » Wed Nov 23, 2011 10:45 pm

I am concerned about how life might change after a rhinoplasty with alar reduction and goretex implants.

I wonder if one can still have wide smiles and laughing out in gusto.
Also will passionate kissing and sorry for being so sheepish about asking, having oral sex where the nose is likely to get bumped going to be an issue post op?

Also, will it feel unnatural when we touch our nose and will females still be able to get facials where blackheads are squeezed from the nose and massages done to the face?

Am concerned about the nature and extent of impact a nose with goretex bridge can take without being damaged or shifted. Also will the alar reduction restrict out facial expressions, especially since the reason for doing it is the nose spreads out flat when I smile. So post correction, does that mean I have to be restricted to mild smiles :( also will it worsen the stitches and scarring which are inevitable due to the reduction.

Thanks Dr Lam

Sincerely,
A fellow lam
Lam
